The second annual Mission Paw-looza is a community event to raise money to increase access to veterinary care for pets in need.
At the Paw-looza, you and your furry companion can be part of a two-mile Fun Run/Walk and enjoy the pet and family-friendly Carnival right outside Mission Animal Hospital's front doors.

Statement about Canine Influenza
Here at Mission, we have been closely monitoring the local outbreak of Canine Influenza in anticipation of Mission Paw-looza. In line with Board of Animal Health recommendations and local response, we are happy to report that we welcome your healthy furry canine companions to attend!
Please do not bring any dog displaying upper respiratory signs. Signs of canine influenza in dogs include sneezing, coughing, discharge from the eyes or nose, and lethargy. Any dog displaying these signs should see a veterinarian and be quarantined from other dogs to help prevent the spread of influenza.
Keep in mind that canine influenza can also spread via contaminated surfaces, including skin and clothing. If your dog is sick, please leave them at home and wash your hands and change your clothes before attending the event. Canine influenza is considered to pose minimal risk to humans - to date, there has never been a reported case of human infection with canine influenza virus in the U.S. or worldwide. Canine influenza is considered a low risk to other companion animals.
You know your dog best! Please make a safe and community-informed decision about attending Mission Paw-looza with your canine companion.
PETS ARE FAMILY
PETS ARE FAMILY
More than 7 in 10 Americans live paycheck to paycheck and veterinary care often remains out of reach for their furry loved-ones.

ACCESSIBLE CARE
One-third of pets need emergency veterinary care each year. When veterinary care is inaccessible, pet owners may be faced with heartbreaking decisions.

Fundraising and Prizes
Collect some s-WAG when you create a fundraising page to support veterinary care for pets in need and Mission Animal Hospital. Everyone wins - you get cool stuff, and the animals feel the love, too! The more you raise for a good cause, the more cool s-WAG you'll take home!

S-WAG pick up is June 1-9 at Mission Animal Hospital, or during event check-in.

Tips for Fundraising Success!
-
Start early. The sooner you start, the more time you'll have to reach your fundraising goal.
-
Make a personal donation. Show your commitment by starting your fundraising with a gift of your own toward your goal!
-
Update your personal fundraising page. Share your love of your pets and why creating accessible veterinary care is meaningful to you.
-
Send emails and reach out on social media. Sending messages to your friends, family, and coworkers is a great way to get your message out. Share your story multiple times throughout the fundraising period and don't be afraid of following up if people don't respond right away.
-
Ask your employer about matching gifts. Many companies will match their employees' donations. Ask your own employer and don't forget to ask your donors if their company will match their gift.
Barking Lot Carnival
The Paw-looza Barking Lot Carnival is free to attend and no registration necessary. But Carnival attendees are encouraged to register and start fundraising to earn Mission s-WAG!
