Why do you volunteer with Mission Animal Hospital?
At the University of St.Thomas, every business major takes a business 200 class where you pick a nonprofit of your choice. I picked one that was personal to me and I absolutely love animals in which Mission Animal Hospital was the perfect choice for me.Â
What types of things did you do as a Marketing intern?
Marketing intern entailed me doing various tasks to help promote the marketing of the hospital. I would have weekly meetings going over my tasks for the week and what needed to be accomplished. I worked on graphics for Mission Paw-Looza as well as graphics of statistics that are sent to sponsors. I also created reel videos and lobby videos highlighting the activities that are going on at Mission Paw-Looza. One of my last projects, I created ideas for future post ideas and how they can better their social media platforms.Â
What do you do when you're not volunteering here?
I am a full time student at University of St.Thomas.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have a dog named Charlie.
Â
Tell us about a pet that had a big impact on your life.
Charlie listed above has had a huge impact on my life. We got him after a hard situation in my life that caused me to be at home for a long period of time. He was there with me all the time cheering me up and ever since we got him he has been there with me every step of the way. He is a one of a kind dog.
Â
What’s the most memorable moment in your time volunteering with us?
My most memorable moment volunteering at Mission was one of my first times in the hospital. I got a tour of the hospital and the behind the scenes of the amazing staff there. They work so hard and I really admire the work they do to save so many animals year by year.Â
