Why do you volunteer with Mission Animal Hospital?

After fostering kittens for many years, I was interested in finding an additional outlet for my interest in caring for animals. I especially enjoy fostering kittens with more complex medical needs and wanted to gain some more exposure on the medical side, so volunteering at an animal hospital seemed like a good way to dip my toes in. That is why I jumped at the chance to take advantage of this unique opportunity that Mission provides to its volunteers. I feel so lucky that I am able to help out with some of the housekeeping tasks, while also getting a behind the scenes peak at the goings on of the hospital!

What do you do when you're not volunteering here?

When I am not volunteering, I can be found working for my family’s coffee business. And, in my free time I love to foster kittens! I also enjoy running and spending time with my family.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I recently adopted two kittens!

Tell me about a pet that had a big impact on your life

I once fostered a kitten whose back legs were paralyzed, but that did not slow her down at all! She completely changed my perspective by showing me first hand how resilient cats can be. I will never forget her!
