Dr. Sonja

Dr. Sonja joined our staff in 2016. After a previous career in marketing, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Upon graduation, she completed a year-long internship at a specialty and emergency referral hospital in Chicago. After returning to Minnesota, she worked at a general practice and an emergency clinic before joining the Mission team. She enjoys helping pet owners make informed decisions to benefit the health and well-being of their animal companions with a focus on education and collaboration. Dr. Sonja enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine especially surgery and emergency medicine. When not at work, she spends her time with her family and their pack of dogs, enjoying the city parks, finding new restaurants and getting away to the family lake cabin.
