Dr. Susan Miller
Dr. Susan purchased Mission Animal Hospital in 2014 and changed it from a for-profit to a nonprofit organization. She is committed to carrying on the founding promise of quality veterinary care for all who seek it. Dr. Susan came to Mission after a number of years in private practice. During her time in private practice, she was profoundly impacted by the number of people and families struggling to care for their beloved pets. Susan believes client education and sound medical care along with patience and respect are cornerstones to providing a good veterinary experience. To that end, Susan is passionate about providing compassionate, reasonable and quality care for all pets. Dr. Susan’s specific areas of interest are surgery, dermatology, preventive and geriatric care. She is a University of Minnesota College of Veterinary medicine graduate. Dr. Susan highly values continuing education and places a high priority on staying current with new therapies, medications and procedures. Dr. Susan volunteers with Worldvets, helping with surgical clinics in countries with limited veterinary care. She volunteers and teaches with the University of Minnesota student spay and neuter clinics (SIRVS) that offers Veterinary care to underserved communities in northern Minnesota. She also is actively involved in the University of Minnesota student travel grant selections and enjoys mentoring veterinary students. When she has some spare time, Dr. Susan loves to travel, cook, walk the lakes, visit the dog park and binge watch TV series. She is Mom to twin boys and pack leader to 4 dogs.
