Melanie Sharpe founded Mission Animal Hospital in 2012 to combine a love for private veterinary practice and animal sheltering. From her vast shelter experience, she was touched by the number of animals surrendered due to an inability of their owners to provide medical care. Her shelter experience made her more aware of the importance of preventive care, spay/neuter surgery, and promoting education for a healthy bond for all animal care givers. She believed that responsible pet ownership evolves from a caring partnership with a veterinarian who understands the various demands that impact us all. We are forever in her debt for transforming her vision into the reality of Mission Animal Hospital. Dr. Melanie sold the practice in 2014 to Dr. Susan Miller who carries on the founding vision.
